Phones are no longer restricted on Philippines' aircrafts.

According to rappler.com, phones can now be used on planes. CAAP confirmed this today. Yes, this is good news to those passengers who can not resist using their phones on board, whether it is for text, call, IM, selfies or simply passing the time by browsing the net while your thousands feet above.

Other countries, like USA and European Union also confirmed they would allow phones on their airplanes as well. There is still a small restriction though, the phones and other gadgets still need to be turned off during pre-flight, and still must wear earphones if listening to music.

So next time you will travel, you can already chitchat on the phone with your friends on land, or share your selfie pic in the plane real time, or maybe use your GPS locator to know your location while you are on the flight. Good news. :)
