Pop Recipe: Hotdog and Shrimp Gumbo Pinoy Style.

Gumbo is an american dish originated from the state of Louisiana. Now I made my own version with a filipino touch. 

Last  night I cooked this meal for dinner and I must say, it's very tasty and delicious. Here are the steps how to cook this hearty meal.

Preparation time: 30 minutes.

Cook time: 1 hour

Good for 4 servings.

Ingrediens:

4 slices of okra (sliced)

1/4 kilo of shrimp

2 pcs. of banana (saba) (diced)

5 leaves of pechay (filipino bokchoi)

1 large onion (chopped)

5 gloves of garlic (chopped)

5 small tomatoes (diced)

5 pieces of calamansi (juiced and seeds are removed)

5 beefies hotdogs (sliced)

half cup of tomato catsup

3 tbsp of vegetable oil

2 cups of water

1 tbsp of maggi magic sarap

1 tbsp of pepper

Cooking time:

• Heat the saucepan in low heat (140 degree C). 
• Put the oil. 
• Sautee the onion and the garlic for 2 minutes.
• Add the okra. Cook for 2 minutes.
• Add 1 cup water
• Add catsup, tomato and banana. Mix thoroughly and simmer for 5 minutes. Increased heat to 240 degree C.
• Add petchay. Simmer for 2 min. Decrease heat to 200 degree C.
• Add the shrimps and calamansi juice.
• Add maggi magic sarap and pepper.
• Simmer for 7 minutes until shrimp is cooked. Voila!

Ai-Ai de las Alas for Congress?!!?

Another showbiz personality is eyeing a seat on Congress. Ai-Ai de las Alas confirmed in her interview in Kapamilya Network's Tapatan Ni Tunying that if she is no longer active in showbiz she will run for congress.

Congress, talaga? Another epic fail na naman to for sure. I don't question her motive in giving public service, but Congress is such a big platform. Gagawa ka ng batas teh! Leave it to the lawyers!

My sympathy is with Ai-Ai with his previously failed marriage with a younger guy which is at the very first time we knew it's gonna fail eventually. Hindi ko iaasa ang batas sa isang taong medyo mahina sa decision making and immature when choosing the right partner. Yes I am judging Ai-Ai and I don't think she is capable for the position. I know she is a good person but Congress is not for her. Tama na na may isang Manny Pacquiao dun, na I don't know kung may ginagawa nga ba siya dun sa kongreso.
